An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

I really do not know what other proofs we still need to show that we either survive and prosper together or perish if we remain separated along the many possible seams and differences we keep focusing on.

After a year of existential war and rising Antisemitsm worldwide, after the Amsterdam pogroms yesterday and the usual indifference and ignorance from others, we really have to wake up and rediscover the very foundations of our Nation.

We became a Nation when we pledged to “do before hearing,” committing to become “as One mand with One heart” despite recognizing the “Mountain of Hatred” between us.

We merited the Torah as a result of this commitment as a unique method that can help people recognize their inherently hateful, 100% selfish, egotistic and individualistic nature, so that after this recognition we could use the Instructions and the Light available through the Torah to correct and further develop our inherent nature until we can fulfill the single most important Mitzvah of “Love your Friend as yourself.”

Only through this “supernatural” — above inherent human nature — love can we become similar and equivalent to reality’s single, loving and bestowing creating and governing force and can recognize, understand and partner that force.

Only this way can we fulfill the unique purpose we were chosen for in the world, to help people survive and proper above and against their instinctive tendencies.

Everything starts with and depends on our unity and mutual guarantee!
