Unconscious or conscious evolution
Question from the Internet:
“What if human civilization advanced?”
We can’t stop or reverse evolution. Human civilization is advancing with or without our consent.
Moreover, evolution is not something random. Nature’s developmental plan is very precise and deterministic. This plan is based on nature’s fundamental laws that sustain and govern the general balance and homeostasis that life and optimal development depend on.
This plan also has a very specific and high role and purpose for human beings, which role and purpose we will reach regardless of our agreement or even knowledge.
But…
How we reach this evolutionary purpose we are obliged and guaranteed to reach, and how we experience the process depends on us. Choosing and influencing how we reach our unique and very high evolutionary purpose is our only actual free choice in life.
All throughout history and even today, we have been developing blindly and instinctively, automatically following our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric, and exploitative nature.
It is the human ego that separates us from other developed primates and fuels our incredible social, cultural, and technological development while other primates remain virtually unchanged for millions of years.
But it is the same inherent human nature — the so-called human ego — that has been driving history’s helplessly recurring and vicious cycles. The human ego makes us excessively overconsume everything we can grab while driving us to ruthlessly compete, fight, and succeed at each other’s and nature’s expense.
This inherent human nature makes us totally incompatible with nature’s laws of mutual integration, making us exist and behave in nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated system like cancer.
If we continue evolving blindly and instinctively through the ego, then we will encounter ever-worsening crisis situations, blows, and wars until the terrible and intolerable collective suffering will make us recognize and reveal the human ego as our own enemy that literally kills us. Then, those handful of survivors who remain after the wars and blows will have to rebuild human civilization based on nature’s fundamental laws of mutual integration — above and against inherent human nature.
We can avoid this “path of suffering” towards our evolutionary purpose. We can proactively, willingly, and consciously study our own nature and the laws of nature. We can consciously and humbly recognize our incompatibility with each other and with nature’s laws in order to willingly and methodically change and further develop ourselves.
This way, we can shift from the blind and instinctive “path of suffering” to a wise, pleasant, and “enlightened” path of Human development, taking our fate into our own hands.
