True Prayer

There are billions of people who are praying multiple times a day in this world. But do we actually understand who we pray to, what we are praying for, and what we receive from our prayers? Whether it’s a religious prayer, a desire for change, or an unconscious sigh wishing for something, these prayers are always for our own benefit or that of our loved ones. These prayers are essentially about changing the reality around us because we sense something is not right — whether for ourselves or others important to us. We wish for this reality to change, hoping for a better outcome for us or those we love.

We rarely, if ever, pray for ourselves to change, believing perhaps a change in ourselves might lead us to see reality differently.

Instead, we wish for reality to change, hoping that some help from above will make things better for us. It’s rare for our prayers to be answered as we envision them. Sometimes, it seems a prayer is answered, and things improve, but soon, we find ourselves facing even worse situations. If we reflect honestly, our lives and human history are marked by suffering and conflict. We stagger from one crisis to another, blind to what’s around the next corner.

There is, however, a unique empirical science that claims we can learn what the right prayer is. Through the right prayer, we can contact a single governing and life-creating force behind the universe. This force drives evolutionary progress towards a special goal. This science provides an opportunity to connect with this higher force in a way that allows us to understand and, in essence, become creators and governors of our reality.

To connect with this force, we must achieve a similarity of form with it.

Just as we tune a radio receiver to the right frequency to receive a broadcast, to understand others, we must empathize, attempting to step into their shoes. Likewise, to make contact with the single force creating and governing reality, we must become similar to it. This force is characterized by absolute, pure giving and love outside of itself. It knows only how to give, to bestow, and to love.

The special scientists who have studied this force through their own attainment explain we need to tune our frequencies to match those qualities.

They suggest forming small groups of people who do not know each other and mutually commit to practicing absolute, selfless, unconditional love and bestowal. Through these connections, we slowly recognize that our inherent nature is fundamentally selfish and egotistic, contrary to these ideals. While trying to love and serve others, we confront our true nature, a nature we’ll attempt to transcend.

This process is challenging, and many people abandon it as soon as they begin to glimpse the uncomfortable truth. Only a few, possessing the sensitivity, willingness, and determination, progress to a stage where they can acknowledge our inborn nature is selfish and destructive. When they reach a deep aversion to this selfish ego, recognizing how much harm it causes, they break out in a true prayer.

This time, the prayer is not about changing the reality around them but about changing themselves — to rise above this inherent nature.

We can’t eradicate the ego, which drives our lives and development, but we can learn to act beyond it. We can harness its power for further progress. Recognizing our nature and breaking out in a true prayer — even without knowing to whom we pray or the help we seek — is fundamental. This sincere transformation marks the beginning of real change.

We must reach a point where living through the ego is intolerable, rendering prayer for change a matter of life and death. Only then can a true answer from the external force manifest. This earnest prayer is when we sacrifice our intellect and preconceived notions, acknowledging their flawed, ego-driven origins. This desperation and surrender break forth like a volcano — a plea for life itself.

At this turning point, we detach from everything we’ve known and welcome a transformation. We demand this unseen, unrecognized force perform the change upon us, gifting us the qualities of absolute love and bestowal. We are like terminally ill patients running to the operating theatre and placing themselves on the operating table demanding an urgent operation.

We have to reach such a desperation from living under the governance of the ego and seeing its total futility, we have to reach such a determination to do anything possible to break free of the control of the ego that even the ego recognizes the need for change and gives us the opportunity to try existing without its control — hoping to gain from this “change of heart” later on.

This life-or-death demand and the obliging help from reality’s single operating force initiates a completely new human development where we align with this higher force and fulfill our purpose.

This journey starts with understanding our inherently flawed nature, fostering a profound dislike for it, and developing an unstoppable prayer. Through this, the force obliges our request, transforming our hearts and minds. With evolving similarities to this force, we enter a continuous relationship of learning and contact.

While the prayer never ceases, it becomes a perpetual request for purification — striving for absolute selflessness and alignment with the higher force. Ultimately, achieving complete similarity allows attachment to it, justifying its role as the sole operating, benevolent force shaping us and reality.
