Today’s media has nothing to do with “balanced and truthful” reporting

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

Unfortunately, the media (not only in Israel but all over the world) is not balanced and truthful anymore, and whoever claims it is, is simply not telling the truth.

The media (on all levels) has become part of the propaganda in the hands of those who pay for it.

Most of the articles in The Jerusalem Post are American-oriented, first of all. Most of the articles are clearly aimed personally against Netanyahu and other personalities in the government.

Many of them are outright demoralizing and scaremongering — while Israel, by all accounts, is actually winning the war.

National unity — specifically, above all divisions, differences of opinions, and personal dislikes — is the single most important foundation for our survival.

This does not mean unity to support the present government.

This means “simply” unity when, despite everything and above everything, we try to bring people together and make sure that all arguments and discussions remain “balanced” and that all are aimed at strengthening unity and not undermining it.

There is a — seemingly blind and fanatic — segment of Israeli society that fears unity as it does not fit their undermining and separating agenda. They are, of course, very short-sighted since they are shooting themselves in the foot, but they just want to achieve their goals at all costs, even at the cost of self-destruction.
