To change the world, we need to change ourselves

Question from the Internet:

“If you could change only one thing about the world, what would you change?”

From my own point of view, I would only change myself.

First of all due to my inherently egocentric, subjective consciousness, perception of reality I see the world and people around me in a distorted, corrupted way.

And since I see a distorted, dark, hostile world where I have to seemingly protect myself and compete for everything, succeed at the expense of others, I make the world even worse than it is.

Thus by changing myself, changing my viewpoint and my attitude towards the world and others, I can already facilitate a positive change in the world even without anybody else changing anything.

And then if we all change ourselves the same way, we can change the world to be perfect.
