Tikkun Olam — the right way

An article from The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

The greatest danger to Jews and Israel is from within. It is the inner division and infighting and Jews “soiling” their own nest towards others, trying to become the “good guys” by talking against other Jews and Israel, that causes the greatest harm.

When Jews become ashamed of “being Jewish” and strive to follow the methods, lifestyle, and thinking of others, and assimilate forsaking original Jewish values, they bring destruction to other Jews and to themselves.

These “self-hating Jews” do not understand that “being born as a Jew” is a commitment and an unerasable role one is born with, which role we cannot forget or abandon.

We were not “chosen” by nature’s evolution to fulfill this role randomly. By the merit of our predecessors, we have unique qualities that are crucially important for fulfilling our serving role towards humanity.

The “Tikkun Olam” liberal Jews misunderstand and misinterpret is about correcting the world by first correcting ourselves and then showing others how we can change the world by changing our inherently selfish, egotistic, exploitative, and hateful qualities to selfless and unconditionally serving and loving qualities.

We can’t change the world by political and social activism, but only by willingly, humbly, and purposefully changing ourselves and becoming positive examples for others.

This is why “being Jewish” is the most difficult and, at the same time, most rewarding thing.

We need the right education so Jews understand this role and what it requires
