There is a better future, we just have to build it

Question from the Internet:

“Having problems increasing every time on earth crime, diseases, pollution, climate change etc. Are there any prospects of a better world in the future? Or is humankind heading towards a dead end?”

No, this is not our fate to exterminate ourselves. We have a chance for a better and sustainable future ahead.

But in order to build such a better, safer, more equal and peaceful future human society, we would need to use our unique Human intellect we have hardly used so far.

With this Human intellect — capable of critical self-assessment and initiating fundamental self-changes — we could finally recognize that behind all vicious, recurring historic cycles and behind our contemporary sleepwalk towards self-destruction stands our own, inherently selfish, egocentric, subjective and exploitative nature.

We need to recognize and accept that by default we are capable of only self-serving and self-justifying calculations and that knowingly or unknowingly we all enjoy succeeding and surviving at the expense of others.

Only when we recognized and accepted the root cause, the right diagnosis can we find the appropriate remedy, which is building a Nature-like, mutually responsible and mutually complementing integration and cooperation.

Only when we become compatible with Nature’s fully integrated and interdependent system can we find solutions to our problems and prevent future ones.

The fact that we have to achieve this inevitable compatibility with Nature conscious

ly, above and against our inherent nature makes us truly Human, meriting our place at the peak of Natural evolution as the system’s only fully conscious, integrated and at the same time independent observers and partners.
