The wisest strategy is to let the old economy fall!

We have been building without foundations

The most unconventional and wisest strategy with the economy that has fallen due to the pandemic is to let it fall down. I will explain.

For any building, the most important is the create solid, durable, sustainable foundations. Without such foundations the building will sooner or later fall, collapse.

Our old/present socio-economic system has no foundations at all.

It has been built - basically since the industrial revolution - on the premise that we can produce and consume everything and anything we want, we can constantly generate “aggregate demand” with increasingly sophisticated brainwashing marketing and entertainment, so we enter the age of infinitely growing profit, with trillion-dollar wealth, producing, consuming our way into infinity.

For decades now everybody is sunken into unmanageable debt, paying for the increasing debt with further debt. We “stimulate”, “bail out” banks with printing virtual money that has no backup. We enslave and coerce each other to consume goods, services we do not need and that are harmful, we throw away shortly after purchasing them beyond our capacity.

The bottom of our building keeps collapsing but we keep building at the top. Everybody is in a frenzy, everybody is stressed out, depressed, our societies are breaking apart due to inequality, at least 1/3 of our youth or more is unemployed without any hope to find work, the engine of consumption the middle class is disappearing, leaders boost the military since that is then greatest business, but sooner or later those weapons need to be used so we prepare for war…

Time to rebuild — on Natural foundations!

Then the “tiny/invisible” virus bursts this bubble and now we are truly in panic as even the tricks, lies, manipulations we have been applying so far are useless…

So if the building topples, wants to fall - let it fall!

Only when the dust settles will we be able to rebuild it, but this time on proper foundations. This is what the virus helps us with: to stop, think, evaluate - why was our previous structure unsustainable, unnatural, inhumane, and what we need to change to make it sustainable, natural, and Humane.

Most of the world is not listening yet they are blindly rushing, trying to prop up the same building that half-collapsed already, stubbornly ignoring the writing on the wall.

But there is a constantly growing minority that is already preparing for a rebuild, this time holding Nature’s blueprint in their hands that includes mutually responsible and mutually complementing Human interconnections, cooperation, and a lifestyle based on normal, healthy, modern Human necessities and available resources.
