The unique Human duality

“Why are people drawn to things that aren’t good for them? It makes no evolutionary sense.”
It doesn’t. And as a result we - individually and collectively - are on the brink of self-destruction, removing ourselves from evolution’s flow.
It is due to our uniquely Human, 100% selfish, egotistic and exploitative (cancer-like) Human nature, which makes us reckless, all-consuming individual cells in Nature’s fully integrated, selfless, altruistic system.
On the other hand Humanity’s seemingly self-destructive nature, behavior is also part of evolution’s relentless, predetermined plan.
Contrary to all other parts, elements in Nature - that are instinctively, seamlessly integrated into the system - Human beings are given the opportunity, ability to reach that integration, similarity with Nature consciously, above and against who we are by default.
It is as if Nature installed in us an unfinished, raw, “beta software”, so after a while - after millennia of egotistic development in our generation - we would recognize the self-destructive qualities of the original selfish, egotistic program, to initiate in us a conscious, proactive process to upgrade ourselves.
Only in this manner can we achieve our unique, unparalleled, Human evolutionary role in the system, the necessary duality for this role: to become Nature’s inner observers, to become the witnesses of the system’s perfection through seamless, purposeful integration, while still retaining an independent, individual viewpoint with the help of the original opposition.
