Opinion from the Internet:

“I agree 100% with the idea of revealing our inherently egotistic nature and learning how to use it. Maybe transcending our animal nature to fulfill our human potential does not imply rejecting our animal nature (which is what we’ve been doing since the dawn of civilization), but simply accepting it as just part of a bigger whole.”

Yes, you are right.

There is nothing wrong with the “animal”, we still have to care for it, give it everything it needs - according to healthy, natural necessities. The ego is not evil either, it is how we use it, that we need to change.

There is nothing obsolete, accidental in Nature’s perfect system.

Our evolutionary task is to develop the “Human” in us above the animal, learn how to use everything in a balanced, constructive manner above and against the inherently egotistic, destructive instincts.

Then we will have both and we will understand, attain Natural reality within the contrast as independent, objective “Human observers”.

As Nature is comprised of two opposite, complementing forces, we can learn, develop to be able to harness, handle combine two absolute opposites inside ourselves, this way getting a perfect, complete picture of reality.
