The thin line between war and peace
Question from the Internet:
“What is the thin line between peace and war?”
The thin line between war and “true peace” is consciousness.
We will become able to build “true peace” — not only temporary ceasefires, peace treaties that disrupt the constant chain of wars in history — when we become conscious of the true enemy, that keeps inciting us towards ruthless, exclusive competition, the urge to succeed, survive at the expense of others and defeat others at all cost.
This true enemy is our own, inherently self-serving, self-justifying, hateful, and exploitative ego that makes us thrive on ruthless competition, success, and survival at the expense of others.
Only when we become conscious of this ego that literally kills us — since any negative influence we introduce into our globally integrated and interdependent system comes back to us multi-folds, while by destroying others and the world we destroy ourselves — can we acquire, generate a true desire, need to change ourselves.
Only this consciousness can create a unique situation where we start existing above and against our egoistic self, through positive, selfless, mutually responsible and mutually complementing cooperation.
This tense, consciously built and constantly renewed duality, knowing who we are and proactively, methodically choosing to live opposite to who we are will lead to peace and survival.
