The structure of Global governance

In the globally integrated and fully interdependent world, we have evolved into — as a result of Nature’s evolution driving the whole system towards full integration — we will need to reach a global governing body that is capable of making decisions on global matters.

But that will not make the local, national governing systems and the lower level relationships in between them obsolete.

Interestingly the ideal “world governing system” is very close to what Jethro proposed to Moses in the Torah about organizing the Jewish nation in the desert, from tens to hundreds to thousands, etc.

An ideal Human society would also be built based on small, autonomous, mutually supportive, mutually complementing cells, environments that can sort out most local issues in relation to their basic necessities in life.

Then those small cells would also interact with other such cells on a regional (town, city) level through a regional assembly that makes decisions that relate to that level.

Then the regional “organs” would comprise higher “subsystems” if necessary before the organization reaches the national level.

Then nations in a certain geographical region could form their own mutually responsible and mutually complementing cooperation, and finally, all geographical regions would send representatives to the global body which would only need to deal with truly global issues.

While it sounds similar to present-day structures it is still very different, out of the fact that all representation, at all levels, would be “non-partisan”, using completely independent “public servants”, that have no association to lobbies, interest groups apart from the circle of public they represent. There will be no “personal leaders” that can grab power for longer periods, working for personal legacies, for their place in the history books. Everything will be dealt with through teamwork.

The economic system of this construct is built on the optimal parameters of natural necessities and available resources, while society is built in order to provide each with a suitable, mutually responsible and mutually complementing role towards society, for which they receive their appropriate salary that can comfortably cover all their necessities according to their own conditions, needs.

Of course, this system needs great preparations, changes from all of us, we will need to learn how to act above and against our inherently selfish, individualistic, and exploitative instincts that have been distorting, corrupting all ideologies, the structure we built through history. But we have no other choice, since in order to solve our problems and survive in Nature’s fully integrated, interdependent system we will have to build Humanity on Nature’s template.

The above-described system will work and provide a strong, sustainable foundation for global Human society out of a simple fact: It is built on Nature’s laws of integration making us compatible with the system.
