The real “Transcendence”

Question from the Internet:

“What are the concepts of the good life and human flourishing presented in the movie Transcendence?”

Transcendence was a very interesting film, I watched it I think 3 times. I am also studying a unique, empirical natural science, that has been studying human nature in comparison with Nature’s finely balanced, integral system for millennia.

This unique science explains that contrary to our inherently egocentric, subjective, and individualistic views we are all part of a single, mutually integrated whole, like cells of a single, living organism, and our future survival depends on accepting this and living accordingly.

This science also explains that “physical reality” as we know it is a construct of our distorted, illusory subjective, and egocentric perception, and our real existence is beyond the egocentric, subjective constraints of time, space, and physical motion.

So going back to the film, our actual, real reality is closer to what the Johnny Depp character achieves “being uploaded” to the “network” as we become part of a greater whole.

The reactions of other people, with immediate suspicion, rejection, destruction are also close to reality, as we fear any changes, especially ones that take seemingly away our unreal, illusory individual freedom and personality.

The problem with the film — which is also the result of our misguided sense of individuality, the importance of the self — is that this “uploading” and creating a new reality is performed by a “great and famous individual”.

This cannot happen in real life as an individual would always distort, corrupt such power, control. This is simply how our human nature works and there is nothing we can do against it on our own.

This is also why the dismissing, suspicious reaction of others in the film is fully understandable.

We can only get closer and achieve the realistic, tangible, “networking”, non-physical, collective existence together. The network we are “uploading ourselves to” is not the Internet, but it is the unique, emotional, mutually supportive, mutually complementing, selfless network we build between us.

We achieve this unlimited, perfect existence when we upload our inherently egoistic self “into each other”, through selfless, unconditional service and love. Then we create an unprecedented collective consciousness, collective intellect that elevates us above sensing this imagined, egocentric, and subjective physical world.

In the “real process,” we do not have to die or disappear from “this world”, we do not have to change anything, we continue with our instinctive, blind life incessantly running according to selfish “pleasure and pain” as before.

The sense of the physical reality will gradually fade into the background as our sensation of the real, non-physical existence grows, develops between us, in our network.

This is a progress, development, positive example nobody will oppose, try to shut down, especially as we increasingly see that the alternative, remaining in this illusory, self-destructive, egocentric, individualistic “Matrix” leads only to suffering and destruction.
