The real Passover we all have to go through

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

Perhaps “religion” was truly meant to bind people together. Instead, it became the excuse for most of the bloodshed and horrific torture in human history, which continues even today.

We find many times that we intend something good and nice, only to achieve the opposite, when instead of unity, we have separation, and instead of love, we find hate.

This is because everything we do is driven by our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, exploitative, and hateful human ego that distorts everything and anything we plan and do.

Thus, the only way we can achieve success and secure our future survival — for Israel and for the world — is if we learn and implement the true meaning of “Passover.”

And this true meaning — which the symbolic “story” describes — is escaping our own “internal Pharaoh,” the human ego that enslaves us from birth, on our way to become a “free Nation in our Land,” meaning people who can use their desires with the intention of loving and serving others.

The true “Land of Israel” is a state where we all become “like the single, creating and governing force of reality,” purely loving and bestowing, facilitating life and positive development through those “godly qualities.”

This is what our greatest sages describe, and only by performing this “internal Exodus” can we rebuild and sustain the same unique unity and mutual guarantee the original Israel was built on.

It is the same unity and mutual guarantee that can make us “Light unto others” through positive example.
