The pandemic will permanently change Human society

Question from the Internet:

“What societal changes due to the COVID-19 crisis will be permanent?”

First of all our present society — built on ruthless competition, success, survival at the expense of others while excessively consuming for personal profit — will collapse.

This will be a permanent change, we won’t be able to return to life before, as our present/old Human system is incompatible with Nature’s laws of integration, balance.

What happens next depends on us.

There are two possible scenarios:

  1. We continue to ignore the laws of nature that sustain balance and homeostasis, we continue to ignore evolution’s direction towards ever-increasing integration all across Nature’s system. In this case, Nature will put increasing pressure on us, and force us to change, comply, adapt as a result of intolerable suffering, against our will.
  2. We consciously, proactively start studying the Natural system we are also internal parts of, until we understand the “strict, unbending” laws we cannot bribe appeal against. Then we can purposefully, methodically change ourselves, change how we relate to each other, and Nature until we finally recognize and fulfill our unique, Human evolutionary role in the system.

The end result, our seamless integration with each other and through it with Nature is predetermined. Our choice is about how we get there.
