The pandemic acts like a brutally honest mirror for us

The pandemic did not change anything. It acted more like a brutally honest mirror, a unique x-ray that shows us who we are, what our present civilization is like.

It pulled the plug on our unsustainable, artificial human system, on our civilization that is built on excessive overconsumption and ruthless competition. It also showed that while in the new, globally integrated, fully interdependent evolutionary conditions we would need to behave with mutual responsibility, approaching problems through mutually complementing cooperation, we behave completely selfishly, egoistically, subjectively, each caring only about themselves, trying to succeed and survive at each other’s expense.

We have always been like this, but our selfish ego has been growing, intensifying through history, while today we reached such a level of integration, and interdependence that makes us act totally like cancer.

It is truly a “blessing” like a person finally receiving the true, full diagnosis.

Only now — that we recognized our own nature, the selfish, exploitative, hateful ego that drives all of us — can we start true solutions, finding a true remedy that changes, upgrades,m harnesses our egoistic nature in a way that we will be able to connect to each other and make calculations primarily for the sake of the whole collective and nature.
