The original, innate human desire and Capitalism
--
Question from the Internet:
“Is capitalism a system of desire that produces desire?”
Capitalism is a system built by our innate desire, that uses, exploits the same desire that controls us.
We are all born with an inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric, individualistic, and greedy desire for pleasures, fulfillment. This is our engine, anything we do is driven by this desire.
This is neither evil nor sinful, this is the desire, program Nature’s evolution created us.
Capitalism is the most complete system that can serve our inherent desire with its ruthless, exclusive competition, with success at each other’s expense as we try to profit, consume everything in an excessive way regardless of the circumstances. All other ideologies, human systems are simply offshoots of capitalism, trying to correct it, subdue it when inequality goes too far and society is destabilized.
Capitalism with its modern marketing, aggregate demand generation cleverly exploits the self-serving, greedy desire in all of us, manipulating us to consume way above our actual needs, so we become completely enslaved to this “Matrix” we ourselves built and support.
Neither Capitalism nor any other human experiments from the past or from the present can survive, as they are — together with our original desire — incompatible with Nature’s fully integrated, interdependent system where only seamless mutual integration, mutually responsible and mutually complementing cooperation can offer problem-solving ability and collective survival.
As we are observing the dead-end and collapse of our present, mostly Western, capitalistic civilization, we have to take active, conscious steps towards rebuilding humanity based on Nature’s integral template instead of blindly repeating the instinctive mistakes, misunderstandings of the past.
