The only control we need to reach peace is self-control
Question from the Internet:
“Should you stop seeking control over and power over to have a peaceful life?”
I think what we are gradually learning through the pandemic, through other pressing global problems and through the Ukraine war, is that we are not in control.
We can’t control Nature, we can’t control even relatively simple pandemics, we can’t even comprehend, discuss let alone solve global issues and we definitely can’t control each other through force, coercion, threats, economic sanctions, blackmailing or any other negative means.
We live in a generation when the real culprit, the single root cause of all historic and present-day human problems is laid bare before us: it is our own, inherently selfish, egocentric, subjective, individualistic and exploitative nature, the inner program that drives, operates all of us.
Thus the only control we have to learn, assume is controlling our inherent nature. We have to learn how to rise above our destructive, cancer-like instincts — all of us controlling our own egos instead of blaming, correcting, censoring, wiping out and defeating others — in order to build positive, sustainable, global, mutually responsible and mutually complementing interconnections and cooperation.
This is the key to peace above war, unity above separation, survival against cancer-like self-destruction. This is the key for global problem-solving and for safeguarding our collective Human survival in conjunction with Nature’s evolution supporting any attempts for mutual integration.
