An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

The answer to this question will decide our future survival.

Fortunately, we do not have to debate the question blindly as most of our greatest sages, like Rav Yehuda Ashlag and Rav Kook, gave a definite answer.

We will become the Nation of Israel rightfully existing in our homeland when we fulfill the role we were “chosen for” through the merit of our “forefathers.”

Our “forefathers” were not “religious figures, but they were unique and unparalleled, empirical scientists of human nature and how human beings fit into a purposeful and deterministic natural reality — or the spiritual domain of the Creator.

“Being Jewish” and “being an Israeli” means fulfilling the most important law of the Torah — “Love your friend as yourself” — above and against the inherently selfish, egoistic, exploitative, and hateful human nature.

As a result of this “supernatural” love, we can create and keep a special unity and mutual guarantee that is the only solid and sustainable foundation for a human society comprising of “cancer-like human individuals.

This is why, as long as Jews keep this unique, “supernatural” unity, they prosper and can overcome much stronger empires. When Jews succumb to the instinctive “unfounded hatred” between them, they face existential danger, like Israel and Diaspora Jews many times throughout history, including today.

Only through our mutual guarantee do we become accepted and coveted role models, “Light” unto others, also justifying our right to exist on our destined Land.
