The most pressing global issue of our times
Question from the Internet:
“What is the most pressing global issue of our time?”
The most pressing global issue of our time is that while we evolved into a globally integrated and totally interdependent world, we ourselves are incapable of existing in a “global” way.
Existence in a “global” way means integrating and cooperating globally, each individual becoming like a healthy cell in a single, living organism.
And we are incapable of becoming such healthy cells because we are all born inherently egocentric, subjective, and individualistic.
By our instinctive “inner software” we are simply incapable of making any calculations beyond direct self-interest we cannot even look beyond and perceive something that is not related to our introverted “pleasure/pain” calculations.
This is how we are born, this is how we are programmed by evolution.
This means that in our inherent and present form, we are not equipped to survive and further develop in nature’s lawful and deterministic, global, and integral system. This means that without changing and further developing ourselves, we will fall off evolution’s relentlessly progressing train like the dinosaurs for example.
Fortunately, human beings are incomparable to any other creatures in nature, past and present. We are the only beings that can critically assess their state and even initiate processes, by which we can fundamentally change our nature and inner software and adapt ourselves to evolution’s flow.
We are the only beings that are capable of this conscious self-upgrade, by harnessing and drawing on ourselves unique natural forces that can perform this upgrade. We are expected to perform the same evolutionary revolution, or breakthrough that single-cell organisms went through millions of years ago, but we need to do this consciously, willingly, and purposefully.
And it is this conscious human self-adaptation to nature’s system and evolution’s flow that will make us “truly Human”, beings that became similar to nature above and against their inherent nature and instincts.
And it is this conscious self-adaptation and becoming similar to nature through our own, conscious efforts that will make us the natural system’s only fully conscious, integrated, and the same time independent observers and equal partners.
This is the purpose of life, and reaching this “truly Human” state is the only reason to be born into this world.
