The most important — still overlooked -factor of human existence

Question from the Internet:

“What is the one thing that people overlook that is a major factor to human existence?”

While we keep talking about a “global world” and integration, we still overlook what this global integration and our inevitable interdependence truly mean. We keep ignoring, dismissing that we are basically single cells in humanity’s single, living organism that is also an integrated part of Nature’s fully integrated system.

We also overlook the fact that our global integration, “globalization” is not something “man-made”, but that it is Nature’s laws that sustain the general balance and homeostasis — life depends on — and Nature’ relentless evolution towards a most perfect full integration of the system that forced us together.

From Nature’s point of view, humanity is a single entity that needs to be mutually integrated while also integrated into Nature. And while we stubbornly keep resisting it, maintaining our egocentric, subjective illusion of considering ourselves independent, “standalone” beings, Nature will gradually wear us out and force us to adapt to its system and laws.

We can use our unique human intellect, capable of critical self-assessment, recognizing our incompatibility with Nature, and initiating the necessary “upgrade”, self-correction.

Then we can avoid unnecessary suffering, crisis situations, natural catastrophes, and wars, and we can consciously, proactively, methodically adapt ourselves to Nature by our own efforts.
