The most accurate and important measure of the quality of life

Question from the Internet:

“What is the most accurate measure of the standard of our lives?”

Life is the circulation of energy, unique mutual communication and cooperation between diverse elements of closed and living Natural systems.

As we gradually reveal, we also evolved into a closed, mutually integrated and interdependent human system — which is also an integral part of Nature.

Even “simple” problem-solving in this integral system requires selfless, mutually responsible, and mutually complementing cooperation, not to mention safeguarding our continuing, collective human existence.

And while in our misguided, unnatural — and thus collapsing — human system, we define life as accumulating wealth and material possessions while enjoying whatever we can only for ourselves most of the time at the expense of others, truly Human life resembles Nature.

Thus in our times, the most accurate measure of the standard of our lives is the quantity and quality of positive and constructive, mutually responsible, and mutually complementing human interconnections and cooperation in any given society — and in general in mankind. Everything else we want to measure — poverty, healthcare, education, security and so on — is a derivative and consequence of those human interconnections and cooperation.
