The meaning of “true freedom”

Question from the Internet:

“What is the meaning of freedom?”

”True freedom” is a state, where one can think, decide and act without any coercion, without any “external” force influencing one’s thinking, decisions and actions.

We are all consciously and unconsciously yearning for this freedom, although we do not know what it is and we do not actually know what we would need to liberate ourselves from in order to become free.

All through history we are seeking and fighting for freedom from the influence of others. We all inherently sense ourselves as independent and individual beings and consider any oppressive, limiting influence from others as slavery and restriction we cannot stand and sooner or later we fight or rebel against.

But this is all a complete misunderstanding.

The true tiranny and slavery that makes our life bitter is the total, relentless and all-encompassing governance of our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, subjective and individualistic ego over us.

Knowingly or unkowingly we constantly act and exist according to the dictum of the ego. We view anything and anybody “outside of ourselves” as ponetial competitors and enemies we have to compete and fight against, at whose expense we need to succeed and survive. As a result of the governance of the ego we incessantly and excessively accumulate and consume everything for our own sake, since we cannot trust anything or anyone for our own survival and wellbeing.

And since human history and evolution equals the constantly growing and intensifying development of the human ego, from the early “hunter-gatherers” that could still co-exist and cooperfate for survival we have become deadly and self-destructive cancer cells towards each other and nature – especially in an age when even the human system has become globally integrated and interdependent in nature’s fully integrated and interdependent system.

Thus instead of seeking and fighting for freedom from the influence of others, we need to see and fight for liberation from the total and ruthless control of our own egos. It is not others we need to escape from and shield ourselves from. It is our inherent ego we need to escape from.

Where can we escape from the ego which we so far assiciate with our very self? How can we separate ourselves from an entity we considered our “I” for millennia and throughouit our whole personal life?

We can escape only into the connection with the very people, the “others” we have been considering our deadly competitors and enemies our whole life!

We have to commit ourselves to totally selfless and unconditional service and love of others – others we have absolutely no hormonal, blood or familial connection to – so we could detach ourselves from the governance of the ego in us.

How can we even consider this “service of others”, when we commit to exist only in order to feel and fulfill the desires of these “unknown and alian” others as much as we feel and fulfill ourselves or even more?!

By detaching ourselves from our inherent egos and as a result acquire a worldview and perception of reality that is liberfated from the original, 100% subjective, egocentric and individualistic viewpoint and perception, we gain a free and objective outlook at life we never had before. By viewing, sensing and experiencing reality through the desires, needs and viewpoints of others, we can build an unlimited, composite and perfect picture of the world we simply had no access to before.

Moreover, when we achieve this liberation from our egoistic selves in a mutually supportive and mutually complementing environment, we also build an unprecedented collective consciousness and “supernatural” – above inherent nature – understanding and attainment of natural reality. Since with our mutual integration and mutual consciousness and perception we become similar to nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated system, we become the system’s lonly conscious, seamlessly integrated and still, independent observers.

We start to understand and actually feel all the cause and effect processes that influence life and development behind the scenes. We also understand our own role and purpose in the whole system and understand why and in what way nature and evolution tried to force and mould us to become what we are predetermined to become according to evolution’s plan and expectation.

As a result of this intimate and objective revelation and attainment, we can proactively and consciously adapt ourselves to the plan and the flow of evolution. without waiting from pressure and suffering through our limited and instinctive “pleasure/pain” computing of existence. We can choose and change exactly how we are supposed to change and exist before any pressure or threat is applied to us from the system.

And in that almost virtual space between being forced or making a conscious and willing step towards continually and perfectly adapting ourselves to the system and its developmental plan, we feel total and infinite freedom, as if we could hold the whole reality in our hands and do with it whatever we want, since we want to do exactly what nature’s evolution would expect us to do, but we make the choice by ourselves without any coercion, since we already attained enough knowledge and experience that we know that there is no other good option that leads to the most perfect state of all.

As a result of this process, we will tangibly and viscerally feel, as if we ourselves designed and operated the whole system of reality, all through the Universe, encompassing everything.

This is the sens of “true freedom”!
