The major paradigm shift of our time

Question from the Internet:

“What major paradigm shift have you seen challenged in our time?”

The core, most fundamental paradigm of human existence is challenged right now.

The core, the most fundamental paradigm of human existence, is that we are independent, separated, individualistic beings with individual freedom and rights.

Our all-encompassing aspiration and driving force in life are to do whatever we want, according to our egocentric, subjective, and individualistic desires and calculations.

We can experience and evaluate from the whole of reality – and regarding other people – only what interests our 100% self-serving and self-justifying “pleasure/pain” calculations.

Even when we “connect” with others or when we “love” others, the overarching, most important, and solely defining calculation is how much selfish benefit we receive from such actions.

Without selfish benefit, some kind of reward, or at least feedback for our actions, we cannot move a finger.

According to our basic paradigm of life, the Universe revolves around me, and everything and everybody exist only to serve my well-being and fulfillment as perfectly as possible.

And now, we find ourselves in a globally integrated and fully interdependent world, where we are all “rendered” like individual cells of a single, living organism.

All our instinctively individualistic and self-centered actions and even thoughts and desires became cancer-like. As a result, all the “solutions” and “remedies” we offer for the global crisis that engulfs all human activities make everything only worse.

Life and Nature’s system are showing and teaching us that by blindly and instinctively following our core paradigm of selfish individualism, we are inevitably going to self-destruct – in this or the next generation.

If we want to survive and continue our human development in Nature’s lawful and deterministic system, we will have to go through a paradigm shift.

And here, our unique human intellect – capable of critical self-assessment and initiating purposeful self-change is very useful. We are the only creatures in Nature’s system that are capable of consciously and purposefully taking our development into our own hands.

So we need a unique, purposeful, and highly practical method that can help us consciously and willingly adapt ourselves to Nature’s system, becoming the system’s only conscious observers and equal partners.
