The Jewish connection to the Land of Israel

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

I fully agree. We need to learn about and understand the essential and unerasable connection between Jews and the Land of Israel.

But we also need to learn the reason why Jews need to live in the Land of Israel and what role the Jews were “chosen for” on the merit of the so-called “forefathers” millennia ago.

Our sages wrote a lot about this, so this knowledge is not obscure or hidden at all.

Our “forefathers” were unique in a way — starting in ancient Mesopotamia — that they accepted a very different human lifestyle and development compared to others.

They committed to learning and implementing a unique method that can elevate a human being above the inherently selfish, egoistic, and exploitative human nature so they could live and behave in similarity and harm, only with reality’s all-encompassing and governing force that is characterized by total integrality, pure love, and bestowal in a completely selfless and unconditional way.

The original Nation of Israel was founded on this love and service of others, leading to a “supernatural” — above inherent nature — unity and mutual guarantee. Only after that could they approach and enter the land of Israel when this unity and mutual guarantee was perfected.

The Nation of Israel needs to exist in the Land of Israel to show a shining positive example for everybody else on how to exist and behave above and against the inherent human ego.

This Israeli example is the key to human survival despite the self-destructive human ego.
