The inherent limitations placed on us by our egos

Question from the Internet:

“What if our biggest limitations are the ones we impose upon ourselves?”

Unique empirical, natural scientists — who have been studying human nature for millennia — write and explain that we are actually born with our biggest limitation since we are born under the total and ruthless control of the human ego.

It is the insatiable and 100% self-serving, self-justifying, subjective, and individualistic human ego that separated us from other developed primates and drove our incredible and unique human development so far.

But it is also the human ego that locks us into a completely subjective and egocentric consciousness and perception of reality and drives us towards excessive overconsumption and ruthless competition. It is due to the human ego that we constantly succeed and survive at each other’s and nature’s expense and actually gain satisfaction and happiness from controlling, manipulating, and exploiting others.

We even have scientific studies, like the infamous “Stanford Prison Experiment,” to show us how human nature driven by the ego works, and we also have the terrifying experiences through wars and oppressive regimes to teach us the same.

So while the human ego brought us our unique inventions, discoveries, and aspiration, it also locks us into a very limited and distorted worldview, and it also makes us exist and behave like cancer.

And as this human ego reached its maximum strength and intensity in our times, we are now facing a very realistic and imminent threat of self-destruction and self-extermination through many direct and indirect causes and processes that are already underway.

Thus it is our own “human ego” that is limiting and endangering us, threatening our existence as we speak.

While most people cannot imagine separating from the ego or existing apart from the ego, the human ego is actually not our “actual self.” Our actual human self or the human observer in us can be separated and liberated from the human ego. And this conscious and purposeful act of separating and liberating us from our inherent ego — our ruthless tyrant that causes all our problems — is our only chance for true freedom in life.

And only when we learn and practice this separation from our inherent ego — through a unique environment with other like-minded people with the help of a special, purposeful, and practical method — can we explore a “truly Human” existence without any limitations.
