The individual and society

Question from the Internet:

“What is the relationship between the human person and society?”

Since we have evolved into a globally integrated and fully interdependent world, for describing the relationships between an individual and society we can use the analogy of a single cell and the whole body.

In this global, integral world we are all but individual cells of the same, living organism, where the health, survival, the success of the individual is intimately intertwined with the health, survival, and the success of the whole collective — which is in our case the whole global world.

This is something that is the total opposite of our inherently self-centered, self-serving, subjective, and individualistic worldview, this is why our global world is in perpetual crisis since we want to exploit our interconnections for selfish, egotistic benefit — succeed at the expense of others.

We will urgently need to learn — through the right, purposeful, and practical educational method — how to adapt ourselves to our global, integral evolutionary conditions in order to find solutions for our collective, global problems and to survive — together.
