The ideal family in an integral world
Question from the Internet:
“Describe a family you wish you had. Why?”
I wish I had a family, where each member can hold onto “mutual guarantee”, to an absolute, unconditional mutual responsibility above any disputes, differences, above all personal or collective problems in order to be able to solve and prevent major problems and sail through everything with the help of this unique “love”, a bond that results from “mutual guarantee”.
My family was very close to this until financial disputes, animosity between spouses drive brothers apart.
I try to instill this sense of mutual guarantee into my children but I cannot be certain I will be successful.
And in truth, as we evolved into a globally integrated and interdependent world, where our children and ourselves are influenced by the surrounding — global — environment much stronger than any influence a family can provide, how we turn out, whether we are capable of holding onto such fragile mutual responsibility depends on the whole “global family” also holding onto it.
In this global, integral world the “one for all, all for one” principle has become the foundation of all our problems and potential solutions.
