The idea of inherently egotistic Humans — “inborn sin” or purposeful evolution?

The notion of “inborn sin” looming over us

When we describe the root cause of our present problems the inherent selfish ego in people, many instinctively reject it, as such a notion reminds them to the “inborn sin” they keep hearing from religions. Still, we need to find a way of explaining why people keep behaving in the usual, egocentric, selfish, and subjective ways they do, as without accepting, understanding it we won’t be able to find a solution to our problems.

I agree that it is difficult to express this notion of instinctive ego, as the idea of “inborn/inherent sin” is so deeply engraved into our teachings, psyche even if one did not have a religious education.

(Interestingly we could call this idea of “inbirn/inherent sin” an oxymoron, since the notion of sin presumes free choice, which doesn’t have if one is born with a certain quality that is called “sinful”. This is why bring born egotistic, selfish is not a “sin”, it is a given.)

Created with beta software — for free choice to exist

So, many times I try to explain this in a different way, like Humans being “released into production by Nature’s evolution with an undiminished software” to give us a free choice, chance to complete our development by ourselves, by that raising ourselves to the truly Human-level, a creature that can exist above instinctive behavior, in complete awareness of itself and its reality.

Even this is difficult to pass on as it portrays Nature, evolution is something thinking, intelligent, a dynamic which can lead people back to the language of the Bible.

Emotional beings seeing and emotional Universe

In this respect, we have limitations as we ourselves clothe everything into Human emotions, like in Disney movies with the speaking, Humanoid animals. This is how we observe, relate to reality, through our own Human emotions, relating even to our gadgets cars, computers, houses as they were emotional, feeling, living beings.

I do not think this is bad as we are emotional creatures and we can’t exist with the mind, intellect alone, that gives us only a very simplistic, inanimate, black and white picture of reality which then becomes live, 3D through our emotions.

Thus it is best to use a combination of “mind and heart” when describing, searching, attaining reality around us.

And accordingly, the best picture I could offer through the unique empirical Natural science I am studying is the one offered above — purposefully being born with an unfinished, raw, “beta software” (inherently self-centered, egocentric, individualistic) behavior, attitude so we could gradually realize that it is unfinished, it is destructive as it is, and we need an urgent upgrade, making us compatible with the Natural system (with its selfless, altruistic, mutually responsible and mutually complementing qualities) we exist in.

Free choice in duality

By the virtue of this consciously, actively, methodical upgrade we, on one hand, become integrated with Nature, attaining its complete system from within through similarity with it, while retaining our independent observer viewpoint through the remaining contrast between our original and new operational state, ability.

This is evolution’s plan, expectation with us, to develop into a unique duality that gives us free choice and the ability to look at Natural reality as objective observers being “outsiders” and “insiders” at the same time, holding 2 reins in our hands.
