The human ego, like nuclear power
Question from the Internet:
“Is it true that the history of mankind is filled with vile cruelty? And it will soon be destroyed by transhumanism, which will deprive us of aggressive instincts and turn us into transhumanistic sh*t that doesn’t need anything?”
It is true that human history is an endless chain of recurring vicious cycles, constant wars, and conflicts.
And this is because human development is driven by the inherently self-serving, self-justifying, subjective, and individualistic human ego. And it is also true that we are all capable of unspeakable cruelty against others given the “right” conditions and opportunities, as history and such studies like the “Stanford Prison Experiment” prove.
It is also true that today there are great efforts to turn human beings into “grey, easy to manipulate zombies,” devoid of individual and national uniqueness, devoid of gender and any personal opinion or thought. And this artificial Matrix, which brainwashes and “transforms” people, is progressing with great speed and very successfully.
But in the end, this Matrix cannot succeed and will spectacularly fail since it is impossible to suppress and erase our original traits, characteristics, and uniqueness, and sooner than later, people will revolt against the present attempts, swinging far towards the opposite direction, causing its own problems and destruction just like happened before in history.
We can’t erase or even suppress the human ego, the only driving force that separates human beings from other animals. But we can learn how to recognize and accept this inherently raw and destructive human ego as our original driving forces, and we can learn and practice how to harness and channel the ego’s infinite strength towards positive, constructive, and collective goals and purpose.
If we control the ego consciously and purposefully, instead of the ego controlling us blindly and instinctively, we can build a qualitatively much better and higher, truly progressive and sustainable human world, where we can find a place for all of our inherent uniqueness and all of our qualities, even the ones that seem negative at first.
We cannot and must not erase or suppress anything. Instead, we have to learn how to put humanity’s unique, multi-colored, and multi-faceted living mosaic together in the best possible way, so we have a society where each can find and fulfill their most optimal functions while justly and proportionately receiving everything they need and deserve in order to maintain their crucially important and irreplaceable contribution towards the whole.
Then it will be like learning how to harness and use the ego, like nuclear energy for example, for positive and constructive purposes instead of using it for wanton destruction.
