The first innovation and breakthrough we need
A question from the Internet:
What innovative strategies can humanity adopt to foster global collaboration and overcome deeply ingrained selfishness, ensuring progress on critical issues like climate change and sustainable development?
My answer:
Thank you for your question.
I think — and this is what unique empirical scientists, who have been studying human nature for millennia, teach — the first step is recognizing that deeply ingrained selfishness in us, which ingrained selfishness motivates and governs all people without exception.
Only when we all — or at least a critical minority of people — recognize this negative and destructive “operating software” in ourselves, and we also develop a true and irrepressible need to correct and further develop ourselves — instead of blaming, censoring, protesting or even destroying others — can such a group of people start a positive process and start showing positive examples to others.
This requires a unique educational method that assembles such people who are already ready, willing, and sensitive enough to recognize the problem within themselves and also agree to change and further develop themselves through mutual commitment and mutual support.
Then, such a unique and pioneer group of people can achieve a truly “supernatural” feat, building mutual integration and mutually complementing cooperation above and against their egos, without actually suppressing or erasing the ego (which is impossible) but using its insatiable driving force for positive and mutually beneficial goals.
This unique, purposeful, and practical method is ready and available for all; we just need the people who are ready and willing to use it.
