The enemy within
Question from the Internet:
“What is the enemy that the world has not found a solution to?”
We do not dare look into a brutally honest mirror to recognize the forces, desires and intentions truly driving us because then we would recognize that the only enemy we need to fight is our own inherently selfish, individualistic and exploitative ego.
And it does not matter what illusions we have about ourselves; we are all driven by the same ego. Only the overall hunger, the willingness to sacrifice ourselves and others for what we want, is different, creating society’s pyramid structure.
We all willingly and effortlessly subscribe to the constant ruthless and exclusive competition that permeates human society at all levels from early childhood until we die. We are all easy to provoke and incite against others which clever marketing and politicians use all the time.
And it is this inherent, insatiable and cancer-like ego that is the root cause of all the historical and contemporary problems humanity has ever gone through and is still going through.
And this ego will be literally the end of us unless we finally look into a brutally honest mirror, we recognize and accept what desires and intentions drive us, and we also develop a real need to change and further develop ourselves.
Only when we start this willing and conscious self-upgrade — instead of blaming, correcting, destroying and manipulating everything and everybody around us — will we succeed in solving our mounting problems and secure our continuing, collective human survival in Nature’s lawful, deterministic and mutually integrated system.
