The end of the “un-cooperative” human development
Question from the Internet:
“What role did cooperation play in human evolution?”
Human evolution until this point has been an “un-cooperative” evolution, as so far we have been driven by our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric, and subjective individualism that has been intensifying through history, reaching its maximum state today.
This is why, while initially, we had close-knit communities from families through tribes to towns, cities, and nations, today all is falling apart as our egos reject us from one another.
At the same time the more individualistic, egocentric, and narcissistic we became the more we evolved into a globally integrated and interdependent world where our original nature makes us as self-destructive as cancer.
So now we are at the threshold of a new, this time conscious phase of human evolution, when we need to learn how to cooperate, how to build mutually responsible and mutually complementing integration above and against our inherent nature.
This will elevate us to a “truly Human” level, existing above our blind instincts, becoming similar to integral Nature by our own efforts. And as a result, we will fully understand Nature, becoming equal partners with the system.
