The desirable global impact of the Coronavirus pandemic

The Coronavirus is a global crisis, affecting everybody regardless of location, nationality, culture, social standing.

Moreover due to the restrictions the pandemic removed the previous, false cover over the already developing, all-encompassing global socio-economic crisis. Thus our present system is now collapsing.

Hopefully the greatest impact of the pandemic will be that more and more people will realize all over the world the fact, that we evolved into a globally integrated world, where we are like cells, cogwheels of a vast system, and in that system everybody depends on everybody else.

If we needed any added proof, we could see how self-defeating, self-destructive the instinctive, selfish, individualistic, nationalistic reactions, “solutions” have been, making everything even worse. There has been no coordination, no true science, we have no solutions, we have no idea what is happening to us.

The instinctive mutual distrust, animosity keeps growing, the world is slowly becoming paralyzed. People are losing their jobs and the frustration, wanton hatred is spilling to the streets.

We cannot ignore the dire strait we are in, which the virus only highlighted but didn’t cause.

Unless we proactively, methodically learn how to rise above the inherent differences, instinctive distrust, animosity, the innate tendency to succeed, survive at each other’s expense, we will not survive.

What we are witnessing is not a “simple crisis”, depression, instead for the first time we have the chance, ability to understand that we are incompatible with Nature’s integral system, that is governed by strict laws, that sustain the balance and homeostasis life and positive development depends on.

Thus the urgently necessary changes we all need to go through individually, collectively are not obligated by any political ideology, philosophy, religion, but they are obligated by Nature’s laws we can’t appeal against, can’t bribe.

Either we learn and follow Nature’s laws of integration or we don’t. But then it is not “Nature punishing is”, we punish ourselves and self-destruct through our own ignorance.

So the greatest, best global impact of the pandemic would be the awakening global awareness about what it means to exist in a global, interdependent world according to Nature’s laws, evolution we need to adapt to.
