The changing Human life experience
Question from the Internet:
“Will the progress of human technology, the rationalization of society and individuals, and even the future mechanisation of human beings stifle the human pursuit of sensibility, spirit, freedom and romance, or even destroy the progress of art?”
Everything you described is the consequence of our human nature, they are not the causes. Our technology, our culture, art, our presumed sensitivity, spirit, freedom and romance is the product, consequence of our inherently self-centred, self-serving, self-justifying, subjective nature.
The love, suffering we dream, speak, write, sing about is all subjective, introverted it is always about “my” suffering, “my” yearning, “my” loss. Everything serves and celebrates the subjective, egocentric self, our whole human existence until now is a testament to the human ego that cannot see, feel anything beyond its own boundaries.
True progress, a truly Human development starts when we willingly, consciously, methodically start to exit, leave the boundaries of the self and start to attain a real, objective sensitivity, starting to sense, care for others as if we sensed, cared for ourselves.
