The broken, modern human society
Question from the Internet:
“What are the warning signs that modern society is on the verge of breaking down?”
We are not only on the verge of breaking, the breakdown has already started but we do everything possible to ignore, putting our heads into the sand.
Ever since the financial crisis of 2007–2008, we have never actually recovered, but we have been keeping our dying system on a life-support machine with all kinds of virtual manipulations, printing money out of nothing, pumping non-existent trillions into the system. Just like the recent “solution” the American senate “found” — lifting the debt ceiling to avoid a default — our whole world is running away from the truth.
Our inherently selfish, egoistic, self-serving, and self-justifying, excessively overconsuming system is unsustainable in Nature’s fully integrated, interdependent system.
It does not matter what we think, what ideologies, philosophies, even religions we invent, we can’t cheat, circumvent the strict, unchanging and unforgiving Natural laws that sustain the balance and homeostasis life depends on.
We can see what we can “achieve”, “solve” while we blindly follow our egotistic, selfish, subjective instincts. We can see how the pandemic rumbles on, how incapable we are even discussing the threatening climate change let alone to come to solutions. And there are other growing global problems threatening us we do not even dare to talk about, while societies, even families are breaking apart due to our insatiable, irrepressible egos.
This breakdown will inevitably continue and we will sleepwalk into a global meltdown only very few will survive. We can avoid this tragedy by recognizing the root cause of the deepening crisis: our own inherently selfish, individualistic nature that drives all of us.
Then we will be able to find and apply the remedy: a unique, scientific, educational method that can help us change and adapt ourselves to Nature’s integral system through mutually integrating with each other.
