Technology and our future

Question from the Internet:

“What is the impact of technology on society and how will it shape our future?”

Technology will not shape our future, regardless of how awesome and developed it is and it will become. How we use technology will shape our future.

Technology is a tool, and what results and what future it achieves or builds depends on the user.

Driven by our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, individualistic, and exploitative nature, we use technology as weapons, as tools of control, manipulation, and exploitation. Even food or medicine becomes like that in our 100% egocentric and subjective calculations, where we ruthlessly compete to survive and succeed at the expense of others and nature.

Thus our future depends on our awareness and acceptance of our own inherent desires and intentions and how strong of a need and desire we build to change and further develop ourselves, so we use whatever we have for the benefit of others and the benefit of the whole human collective and nature.

Then technology can become a tool for creating a “real-life Garden of Eden” on Earth instead of scorching and destroying the planet and ourselves.
