Steps of Peacebuilding

Question from the Internet:

“What does peacebuilding involve?”

Peacebuilding starts with recognizing that we are all born with an inherently “warmongering”, ruthlessly competitive nature. It starts from accepting that inherently we all thrive on succeeding at the expense of others — knowingly, unknowingly — and we are all inclined to accumulate everything we can for ourselves beyond our necessities.

We need to recognize and accept that we all want to control, manipulate, and exploit others for our own sake and as a result, we are incapable of building positive, mutually responsible and mutually complementing connections, and cooperation — in our generation even within our families, let alone between nations.

True peacebuilding unfolds above this recognition when we all commit to starting connections, cooperation above and against our inherent nature, using a special method and Nature’s integral forces to neutralize, complement our hateful, exploitative tendencies.
