Speaking about destiny “naturally”…

Question from the Internet:

“How does destiny work? Does it give you free will, or it controls everything? How about the decisions I make & made I was completely aware of them & I didn’t feel destiny interfering in my choices.”

“Destiny” or “fate” are big words, and usually, some level of mysticism is connected to them.

Instead, we could say that we exist in Nature’s lawful and deterministic system, where strict, unchanging and unforgiving laws govern everything while the whole system is relentlessly progressing from a very distinct and precise original state towards a very distinct and precise and already predetermined final state.

Although we inherently believe that we are independent, conscious beings making our own decisions, since we are all integral parts of the Natural system, being born from, still existing and evolving together with the whole system, our belief in individuality and independence is illusory.

When we think we made decisions “consciously and with full awareness” we are simply unaware that the decision was already made “before we made them” through our instincts, the external conditions and circumstances arranged by myriads of different factors out of our hands. When we make conscious decisions, we basically agree to something that would happen anyway.

Thus in this system and its plan, we are simply puppets, playing out our roles, knowingly or unknowingly.

By default, most of our “decisions” are blind and instinctive; we are thrown this way and that way by the system and all the factors that influence us behind the scenes through the inanimate, vegetative, animate and human parts of the Natural system.

Our actual free choice is very different from what we usually think; on the other hand, this truly free choice can completely change our outlook on life. We could say this truly free choice can even change our destiny or fate.

By default, our participation in life is completely blind. We have no idea about the system we exist in, we have no idea about the fundamental laws that govern the system, we have no idea about the developmental plan that drives the system, and we have absolutely no idea about who we really are and what our purpose is in this general system.

Thus we exist day to day, motivated to move or develop through pain and suffering in our present state, and even when we move, we move towards an abyss since we have no idea about our destination.

If we agreed to consciously and purposefully research the system, with all the cause and effect processes that determine our lives behind the scenes, if we also researched ourselves and how and where we are not compatible with the system and agree to make ourselves compatible until we find and fulfil our determined role, we can change absolutely everything.

Instead of blindly fighting everything and everybody for things we do not even understand, we could fully understand what and why is happening to us. Instead of literally killing ourselves and others for no reason, we could finally interconnect and build what evolution wants us to build.

Moreover, the more we get to know the system, we can willingly and proactively already make steps and prepare ourselves for the next steps and stages in our development. We will choose exactly what the system is expecting from us instead of making decisions based on our inherently egocentric, subjective, highly limited and corrupted viewpoint.

This can reach such a level that we will develop a very realistic, “visceral” feeling as if we directed and oversaw the system. This is something we can start to work on here and now with the help of a unique, purposeful and practical, empirical scientific method.
