Solutions work only when we aim them at the cause rather than aiming them at the effect
Question from the Internet:
“How do we know if a problem is based on cause or effect?”
Usually we see it by the success of the “solutions”, treatments we apply to problems.
When we treat the symptoms, or the effect - like all our present political, economic and social “solutions”, changes - we see the problems getting worse, the crisis situations deepen, all of us staying on course for much greater, global disasters.
Only when we recognize, accept the cause, the proper diagnosis and start treating it can we see positive changes, true recovery.
And this is the most difficult in our case.
It is much easier to tinker with politics, economics, social movements than to admit that the real problem is our own, inherently selfish, individualistic and exploitative nature.
We would do anything possible except to admit that the problem is in us and that we need to change ourselves. We go to the greatest extent - even to the brink of self-destruction - to justify ourselves and refuse to change.
But we have no choice!
We are not facing some Human judge, court that can be bribed, appealed against. We are facing Nature’s strict, unchanging laws that sustain the crucial balance and homeostasis life depends on.
Nature will not change, those laws will not change, only we can change and adapt ourselves to Nature’s fully integrated, interdependent system by rebuilding Human society on Nature’s template.
