Social media is simply a symptom of our sick society

Question from the Internet:

“How has social media helped to create the societal issues we are experiencing today?”

We need to put the “cause and effect” chain in order. Social media does not create societal issues. It is society that created social media.

And society did not just become like it is by itself.

Human beings, driven by their inherent human nature, built a society with the present negative and destructive values, goals and media and entertainment influence.

This is very important.

If we do not identify the single root cause behind all of our problems, we will continue with our misguided and ineffective “symptomatic treatments and solutions” and simply sink ever deeper into crisis.

Only when we start recognizing and correcting our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, subjective, individualistic and exploitative nature, can we hope for true solutions.

Only when we willingly and purposefully correct and further develop ourselves and how we relate to each other can we start solving problems and safeguard our collective human survival in Nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated system.
