Should we prioritize people or the economy?
What is more important?
As more and more countries opt to open the economy while the pandemic is still ongoing, people understandably ask what is more important: people or the economy?!
In an optimal scenario the two should not be mutually exclusive.
After all the economy is important for people since the economy produces the necessities people can live on, not to mention the economy providing jobs, employment so people could have salaries and the sense of making a positive contribution to society.
The main problem with unemployment is not losing money, but losing one’s sense of “Humanity”, feeling obsolete, useless by not having an activity which contributes to the life of society.
Learning how to change Human relationships and by that reorganize the economy
The question is how to reorganize society in a way that the economy focuses on the modern, healthy, natural necessities of people without the unnecessary excess, overproduction, and overconsumption while giving a chance to all to contribute.
Some wise scientists suggest, that trade, economy is basically the external expression of the fundamental connection, the relationship between people. So readjusting, rearranging trade, the economy requires the adjustment, upgrade of the relationship between us.
Which means that we all have to go through a unique, purposeful and practical educational method, teaching us how to build mutually responsible, mutually complementing connections, cooperation where all calculations are aimed towards the benefit of the whole collective above and against the instinctive, selfish, egocentric and subjective calculations.
Then the economy and trade will also become more Humane and we will feel that the economy perfectly serves the Human beings.
