Should we colonize other planets?

Question from the Internet:

“If you were given the opportunity to establish a human colony on an alternate Earth where there were no humans but a wide variety of pop culture was brought to life, would you do it?”

I am not sure what you mean by “a wide variety of pop culture”.

The bottom line is, as long as we continue existing according to our instinctive nature — that is 100% self-serving, self-justifying, individualistic and exploitative — it does not matter where we go, or what other planet we colonize. In the end, we will end up with the same, collapsing and self-destructive human civilization.

And since the incessant growth and intensification of the human ego is so fast, we have reached such a highly egocentric, subjective and exploitative level already, that probably we would not even be able to finish colonizing another planet as we would kill each other on the process.

And even if we could colonize or establish some kind of human life there, the intense, non-stop fight for control of resources would make normal life impossible.

On the other hand, if we learned how to rise above our instinctive nature and how to consciously purposefully act and exist above and against it, we could heal this planet and turn it into a real-life Garden of Eden for all.

And this is not some utopia or mysticism, we have the actual ability to achieve this within a relatively short time, using a special, purposeful and practical educational method — as long as we are ready to willingly, practically change ourselves and how we connect to others.
