Revisiting the principle of “survival of the fittest”
Question from the Internet:
“When in nature is ‘survival of the friendliest’ more crucial than ‘survival of the fittest’?”
In the “real world”.
The survival of the fittest - as we have been misinterpreting it, as in “the survival of the strongest, greatest bully” - worked only in the false, artificial Human bubble we have been building for millennia.
We have been building this Human system based on ruthless, exclusive competition, success, survival at each other’s expense in a perfect Natural system where life and optimal development depends on keeping the optimal parameters of natural measures and available resources, while constantly keeping a fragile balance between all the living species, and between the fully integrated inanimate, vegetative and animate layers of the system.
It is in our generation that this artificial, unsustainable Human bubble reached to the point of no return, the time when the bubble bursts, as it had no right to exist in its present form in Nature.
So the time has come to learn - above and against our inherently egocentric, exploitative and subjective nature/program - what it means and how it feels to exist and survive through the method of “survival of the friendliest/most capable of mutual integration”.
For this we have to forget, abandon all the philosophies, ideologies, isms, historic and scientific formulas we devised, invented with our self-serving, self-justifying intellect.
Instead we have to humbly follow Nature’s laws and its plan of evolution - driving everything towards the most optimal integration above and keeping the vast diversity, contradictions, contrasts.
