Recognizing our true intentions

Question from the Internet:

“How do you discover the actual hidden core values that are driving your decisions?”

We need a unique, purposeful and practical method in order to find out who we are and what desires and intentions truly drive us.

Since we are social beings and our lives, our self-esteem are all tied to our interconnections to other people — we depend on each other in everything we do, and we define ourselves through comparisons to others — we need a special human environment where with the help of the above-mentioned method we can study and recognize ourselves.

Such an environment will provide the “brutally honest” mirror, in which we can first see and accept that our inherent intentions and values that drive all of our calculations and decisions are 100% self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric and subjective.

Only in this unique environment, with the help of the method, can we tolerate and even cherish such a self-recognition, since as a result, we also receive the chance to purposefully and methodically change and further develop ourselves, so we acquire values and intentions that are above and against our instinctive ones.

And then, from then on, we can start consciously and intentionally directing our values and decisions in a positive, mutually responsible and mutually complementing way, so whatever we decide and do will serve the benefit of everybody.
