Purposeful unity through the right education
An article in The Jerusalem Post:
My comment:
Patience is pointless! We do not even know the real enemy we should be fighting!
Of course, there are obvious external enemies, and as the Talmud says, “When someone comes to kill you, you have to stand up and kill him first!”
We have to fight our external enemies until we secure our existence.
At the same time, we also have to see that it is our internal disunity and the “unfounded hatred” that keeps overcoming the mutually complementing cooperation between us that is our real enemy.
After all, it is the deep separation and the recurring “civil war-like” state between Jews throughout history that enabled external enemies to strike us and threaten our existence.
Moreover, as long as we do not reestablish unity and mutual guarantee that we have lost over 2000 years in order to show a positive example to the gradually self-destructing humanity in our global times, others will hate and fight us more and more. They consciously or unconsciously know and feel that humanity’s continuing collective survival depends on the “Jewish method” that can build and sustain unity and mutually responsible and mutually complementing coexistence above and against the inherently selfish, egotistic, and hateful human nature.
Thus, instead of aimless patience, we need purposeful education and constant practice in order to rebuild our original Jewish unity above and against our instincts.
Then, we will be powerful enough to destroy our enemies while showing a crucially important positive example to others.
