Question from the Internet:

“Does patriotism conflict with humanism?”

Not necessarily.

If patriotism, nationalism is built upon hate, ruthless competition to others, then it is against “humanism” — against the betterment, survival of humanity.

If we understand how our individual and national uniqueness, talent can fit the mutually responsible, mutually complementing, living mosaic of Humanity, and we are proud of serving that single, living organism we call Humanity — which is a single, integral species in Nature — then patriotism, nationalism is positive and it becomes a necessary component in “Humanism”.
