Our mutual responsibility in a global world

Question from the Internet:

“As a citizen of the planet, what can you do in your own small way to aid in the advancement of science and technology for the benefit of society?”

As citizens of the planet we all need to study and understand how mutually integrated and fully interdependent we are.

As a result, we will also understand that with our inherently individualistic, egocentric and subjective consciousness, perception of reality and calculations we inevitably cause harm to each other.

Moreover, our science and technology are also based on our inherently introverted, very limited and corrupted consciousness and perception of reality thus they cannot help us at all. It is not surprising that our sciences and technology are focusing on the usual ruthless competition, excessive consumption and accumulating resources and profit for ourselves and on succeeding at each other’s and Nature’s expense.

After we understood and “viscerally” felt our total interdependence we can start to develop a unique, unprecedented “collective intellect” and a composite perception of reality through each other.

It is then that our sciences and technology will start serving the benefit of society and the planet.
