Our instinctive greed destroys life
Question from the Internet:
“What can greed deny us from getting?”
Greed — our insatiable, inherent desire for more for ourselves — makes us behave and live like cancer. It is especially true since we have evolved into a globally integrated and fully interdependent world.
Our instinctive desire to excessively accumulate everything only for ourselves, to ruthlessly fight and compete for resources and profit while we succeed and survive at each other’s and Nature’s expense is literally killing us.
Greed denies us from developing and acquiring “true life”, a collective sense of existence when we all become like selfless, mutually responsible and mutually complementing cells of the same living organism with a qualitatively much higher, collective consciousness.
If we want to live — even physically but especially fulfilling our truly Human potential as a single “Human being” — we need to learn how to act and exist above and against our instinctive nature.
