Our biological body has nothing to do with the Human being we can become

Opinion from the Internet about our biology defining us as Human beings:

“You provide a pretty weak argument with the Human DNA being almost identical with animal DNA. Actually, our bodies are quite unique relative to all other animals in the most relevant place; we are the only animals that have particular brain physiology that supports conscious thought.”

I am not sure what you consider weak when we share 99% of our DNA with other primates.

Bonobos Join Chimps as Closest Human Relatives.

Moreover, as a result of such similarity, we have been using animal body parts for organ transplants, tissue augmentation for a long time, and as a result of the similarities between human and animal physiology we can conduct successful, reliable medical, pharmacological experiments on animals so we would not need to experiment on Human beings.

When it comes to “conscious thought” we are already in a realm where hardcore scientific experimentation, drawing objective conclusions is impossible. We have assumptions about our own thought processes while we have absolutely no idea about what and how animals — like other developed primates — think.

On the other hand, unique empirical, Natural scientists — who have been studying Human nature in contrast to Nature’s system for millennia — explain to us (based on truthful, objective research — that our “Humanity” has nothing to do with our biological bodies, not even with our inherently egocentric, subjective thoughts and desires that are as blind and instinctive as any other animal’s.

In order to know what makes us Human we need to go through a lengthy, gradual educational process that can help us rise from our inherently “beastly” state to a truly Human state, independent of instincts, liberated from egocentric, subjective bias, acquiring a viewpoint that is completely outside of the “self” — sensing, understanding reality through others.

I understand that in our modern, egocentric, narcissistic society we are obsessed with our biological bodies, constantly augmenting, beautifying them, hoping to increase our longevity, and dreaming about eternity achieved through this body. I do not want to dampen people’s obsession with this, all I want to point out is that we are searching in the wrong place.

Our “Humanity”, our chance for true happiness, longevity, even eternity is found beyond, independent of the biological body — in positive, purposefully, and methodically built Human interconnections.
